A Breathwork Journey Through the Four Agreements
Four weeks of intentional healing for your sleep and whatever else feels hard right now.
October 1–24
Do any of these feel true for you right now?
You're already doing (or have been doing) the physical work of healing your body, but you're wondering if something emotional, something spiritual, wants to shift or heal too.
The world feels like a lot right now, so you're looking for something to help you feel stronger and calmer (especially before the holiday season kicks in).
You've noticed in the past that when you actually make room for your body and for quiet reflection, something real shifts, and you want more of that.
I too know what it's like to do everything out there, and still not see a difference in your physical health.
I'm Dr. Damiana. I've spent almost 400 hours training in Neurodynamic Breathwork, and I've watched this type of breathwork do more in one hour than anything else can in that short amount of time, for my clients, and for myself (this is not to say that diet, supplements, acupuncture, or other tools aren't valuable).
One session of my own fundamentally shifted how I felt about myself, in ways I hadn't expected and can't fully explain. Not every session is the same, and not every session will have such dramatic effects, but breathwork can be deeply transformational if you make space for it.
This work has been dear to my heart for years.
Before I step away for a while for maternity leave, I wanted to share this work with you one more time.
"Some things get stored in your body, not your head. And your body needs a different way to let them go."
How Neurodynamic Breathwork and The Four Agreements will support your journey
Each session is 1 hour and 45 minutes and it includes:
a short intro
1 hour of breathwork
a closing sharing circle.
Each week we sit with one principle from Don Miguel Ruiz's The Four Agreements. We use these agreements as the foundation of the breathwork journey.
WEEK ONE — Be Impeccable With Your Word
Thu Oct 1 · Sat Oct 3
The principle: Speaking, and thinking, with integrity, starting with the patterns that have run on autopilot for so long, you stopped noticing they weren't serving you.
In the breathwork: We'll notice the inner narrative running unchecked, things like "I'm a bad sleeper," "I always mess this up," "I say yes when I don't really want to," and let the breath loosen its grip, giving your nervous system a different signal to organize around.
What it can shift: Negative self-talk, unhelpful sleep patterns, and a truer sense of what it means to be in integrity with your own needs.
WEEK TWO — Don't Take Anything Personally
Thu Oct 8 · Sat Oct 10
The principle: Noticing what triggers us, in sleep, in relationships, in our own reactions, and learning to separate what's actually about us from what isn't.
In the breathwork: We'll work with what's stored in the body as shame or self-blame, the sense that a hard night, a hard season, or a hard relationship means something is wrong with you.
What it can shift: Relationships, self-criticism, and the confusion around why life feels so hard to get right.
WEEK THREE — Don't Make Assumptions
Thu Oct 15 · Sat Oct 17
The principle: Getting curious instead of certain, and questioning the stories we've accepted as fact, whether it's about sleep or about close relationships that feel like they could use a shift.
In the breathwork: We'll explore what you've decided is true about your body, your capacity, your future, without ever having checked, and open a little space around it.
What it can shift: Anxiety about what's coming, rigid expectations, and the certainty that's been keeping you stuck.
WEEK FOUR — Always Do Your Best
Thu Oct 22 · Sat Oct 24
The principle: Showing up fully, without the trap of perfectionism, and being accountable for what's ours to own, without turning it into self-punishment when your best still falls short.
In the breathwork: We'll integrate what the month has moved and practice self-compassion over self-criticism as you head into the season ahead.
What it can shift: Your sleep, your relationship to it, and clarity around things that felt stuck or heavy, including things that turn out to be connected to your healing in ways you never expected.

* I'm heading into maternity leave this fall, and this circle is the last one I'll be guiding before. If you've been meaning to try this work, this is the season to begin.
My transformative story with this type of breathwork
A few years ago, my thyroid antibodies (usually around 100, still autoimmune thyroid disease, but stable for me) spiked over 4000 after an autoimmune flare.
For seven months I tried everything: strict autoimmune paleo, supplements, every functional medicine protocol I knew, working closely with my doctor. We tested my thyroid antibodies every six to eight weeks. The number wouldn't move. A month before my first breathwork session, it was still over 4000, and seemed to be climbing.
After that first session, I felt so different in my body that I had to test again. But something else happened first, a deep realization: nothing is wrong with me. I think I had lived with the opposite belief since I was so young that I hadn't even realized how much it had colored my life.
A couple of weeks later, my antibodies were at 501, down from over 4000. And they kept dropping in the months after.
I know correlation isn't causation. But I also know my body, and something shifted in that session that months of diet and supplements couldn't touch. I'm not saying breathwork will heal your Hashimoto's or any other condition, we have to remember that everyone's journey is different. This is simply what it meant in mine.
It made so much sense to me afterward: the belief that "something is wrong with me," playing out in a body where my immune system was attacking a vital part of itself, as if something was wrong with it, mistakenly. That's true for all of us in some way. We carry beliefs that color not just how we experience life, but our physical symptoms too.
What is Neurodynamic Breathwork, really?
In plain terms: a way to change your brain state on purpose, using nothing but your breath.
Breathing through the mouth — different from most breathwork styles — intentionally shifts your blood chemistry for a short period. As carbon dioxide drops, your body responds the way it would to a real challenge, briefly activating your sympathetic nervous system.
Here's the powerful part: this shift quiets the part of your brain that normally filters and manages emotion. That's exactly why insights and emotional releases can surface during a session because your brain's usual gatekeeper has stepped aside.
Neurodynamic Breathwork is rooted in holotropic breathwork, developed by Dr. Stanislav Grof. My own teacher, Michael Stone, trained extensively under Dr. Grof before creating this more accessible version. This is a version that works with your body's natural healing intelligence.
The "neurodynamic" part refers to how this practice changes your brain state. Through continuous, circular breathing paired with carefully chosen music, we move from everyday beta brainwaves into deeper theta waves — the same states you experience during deep meditation, REM sleep, and moments of real insight. That's where creativity, intuition, and your own healing wisdom tend to arise.
What other clients are saying about these breathwork sessions
My stress numbers said it all
"I want to thank you for offering these sessions, especially on a Saturday, taking you away from your family. The first session alone helped me immensely. I felt so peaceful for two days after the breathwork class. I also wanted to mention that I have an Oura ring that measures my stress daily, between 3-4 hours (I'm retired, so it makes absolutely no sense). Since Saturday's session, my stress level has reduced to 15-45 minutes per day. I'm looking forward to the other sessions and future peacefulness within."
— Bobbi
The clarity I didn't expect
"I came to breathwork to work on my sleep, and honestly I did not expect what came up. During one session I got SO much clarity on an old relationship pattern I'd been carrying for years without even realizing it, like it suddenly just clicked. Seeing it that clearly helped me understand how that pattern had been running the show this whole time, in ways I never even connected before. It gave me this real sense of release, and honestly a whole new way to move forward. And looking back, my sleep actually got better after that too, I didn't even make the connection until now."
— Anna
I felt light, I felt free
"Thank you for offering this breathwork session. I am so grateful for the opportunity to experience this technique. During the hour, I felt at times like I was floating, a very liberating sensation. I felt light, and even a kind of darkness, even though I didn't see it, I felt it. It was truly a wonderful experience."
— Carmen
More than 'just' sleep
"I came to this work because I hadn't been sleeping well for a long time, despite trying so many things. What I didn't expect was how much the sessions would bring up beyond just sleep. I gained insights about how difficult it is for me to receive help or rest, and how much of my life is spent 'doing.' Dr. Damiana's guidance in unpacking what came up during breathwork gave me a new way to understand my own patterns."
— Bonnie
One last thing
Healing rarely comes from doing one more thing right. Sometimes it comes from finally putting something down.
It may be a story or a tension you've been carrying so long you stopped noticing it was there. That's what these four weeks are for.
I can't tell you exactly what you'll find in this circle. But I can tell you it's a place to breathe, to be witnessed, and to head into the rest of this year a little lighter than you came in.
Before I step away for maternity leave, I wanted one more chance to hold this space.
I'd love to have you join me!
Do I have to attend both days every week?
No. Each week offers a Thursday and a Saturday session covering the same principle, so you can join whichever fits — or both, if you want the extra time with it. I offered 2 days each week so you can have more flexibility when to join.
Is this suitable for beginners?
Absolutely. Your breath already knows what to do. No previous breathwork or holotropic breathwork experience is needed — I'll teach you everything about this type of breathwork.
What are the contraindications?
Medical: being under 18 without parental consent, pregnancy, uncontrolled high blood pressure, heart disease, abnormal heart rhythm, recent heart surgery or heart attack, a history of aneurysm or strong family history of one, stroke, TIA, or seizure disorders, detached retina or uncontrolled glaucoma, severe osteoporosis, blood-thinning medications (please discuss with your facilitator), recent injury or surgery, and asthma (an inhaler must be readily available).
Mental Health: bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, psychiatric hospitalization within the last 10 years, severe PTSD (unless previously discussed with your facilitator), panic disorder, or any condition that impairs your ability to engage safely.
What is conscious connected breathing?
A technique where you breathe continuously, without pauses between inhale and exhale, typically through the mouth. This circular pattern is what creates the altered state that allows for deep healing work.
What should I expect after a session?
Everyone's experience is different. Some feel energized, others deeply relaxed. Integration can continue for days afterward — that's part of the process, not a sign something went wrong.
This work is complementary to, not a replacement for, medical or psychological treatment.
How do I pay in 2 payments?
Just go through the steps on the registration page and at some point you will see this page that lets you choose.
